2024 Interior Design Trends

2024 is another exciting opportunity to revamp your space. Allow us to share with you our design predictions for the new year.

Interior Design trends are ever-evolving, taking driving forces from social, cultural, and economic conditions as well as technology. The past four years and the chaos of COVID-19 have taught us to be more intentional about our choices, straying from unrealism and looking ahead to what truly matters - Nature and Wellness. Gone are the days of glitz, glam, and synthetic materials. Sustainability and honest materials are now running the show.

The feeling of quiet luxury and good, intentional pieces that speak for themselves are the highlight of this year and the years to come.

ORGANIC MODERN STYLE

The past year we have seen the rise of Organic Modern Style. Taking the best from its predecessors; Scandinavian, Mid-Century Modern, and Minimalism, we will be seeing more of the neutral palettes and natural materials, with the engagement of organic elements. Asymmetry and careful balance of visual weight give the space a sense of freedom and honesty.

While this trend leans toward monochromatic tones, the delicate combinations of how textures communicate with fluid shapes bring harmony that draws attention to the space.

This style embraces deep soulful attention to nature, indoors.

POST MODERN

Postmodernism is a movement that intends to break free from the previous years’ trend of Mid-Century Modernism which focused on functionality, clean lines, and natural materials.

In this trend, we can expect the unexpected. Being playful, odd, quirky, and weird is the style. We will be seeing these elements in neutral tones, and calming, relaxed versions of what the 90s scarred us all with.

ART DECO REVIVAL

After a century, this iconic style is finally having its grand comeback, but with a twist! The bold geometric forms, and futuristic elements are now being muted with neutral colors.

The trends, like history, really do repeat themselves. In recent years, we have been invaded by the cool tones, gray walls, and linear shapes - a less approachable feel. This new year, we are happy to be seeing more warm and inviting tones paired with organic shapes that lend to a personal, approachable, and welcoming space.

Whichever design you prefer, here at Eden & Co. we firmly believe that the best style to embrace is whatever makes you feel content, joyful, and alive.

XOXO,

Kate
