2025 Interior Design Trends

The new year is an exciting time in the interior design world, it welcomes the opportunity to think about the spaces we spend our time in as they are a reflection of ourselves and the work and living we do in them. Learning what's on trend for 2025 is a great start to making those important design decisions. Here are some of the styles we believe will be in for 2025.

Color

When it comes to color, serene blues and greens that exude a sense of ease remain popular. Soothing and calming tones will continue to be prevalent in home decor and spaces. Rich, sumptuous, sweet colors like brown (think chocolate, mocha, and cinnamon shades), reds, and burgundies are on point. Pantene and Benjamin Moore have included these shades in their coveted “Color of the Year” spots. Deep colors will bring a sense of warmth, charm, and coziness to your space.

Gleaming & Dreaming

Maximalism is in, so nothing is off limits. The art deco era, otherwise known as the “Jazz Age” from the 1920’s-30’s will dazzle again. That means gleaming metals and reflective surfaces abound. A gallery wall is a great way to introduce maximalist styles into a home. Offering a plethora of pictures in a variety of frames is the key. In the photo above, some of the frames bring in reflective surfaces, as do the shiny leather benches. You see accents of blue and green bringing a sense of calm against the deep, dark paint color.

All Frills No Chills

We will also see Rococo and Baroque styles showing off ultra feminine vibes. Brilliantly bold patterns with stripes, large florals, animal prints, along with paintings and sculptures will be prevalent while we embrace the “more is more” phenomenon. To achieve this look, items like flowers and vases have been placed throughout the home above.

Emphasize Experiences Over Things

Human connection is at the core of commercial design for the new year, acknowledging that meaningful relationships and impactful encounters will endure. Pictured above is the perfect space in a work place for employees to feel connected and comfortable.

In 2025, the design world will seek to create spaces that create experiences and turn value into action.

In other words, the Instagram-able moment of what we’re doing is shifting to think instead about what we’re becoming (referred to as a “transformation economy”). Work is a place not just to earn a paycheck, but it’s a place to transform personally and professionally. Workspaces that prioritize engagement and connection are in for 2025
